Daily log, Friday, September 19
305: We played games with the 3rd graders of Room 206. Here is how the game works: one person starts and says a number between 1 and 10. The next player can add any number from 1 to 10 to that number. Whoever says the number 100 wins. Example: player 1 says 5, next player can say any number between 6 and 16. Students were trying to figure out “the secret” to win every time. If they can do so, write it down, and turn it in for points. Assignment: create your own circle graph with at least four sections.
303: We worked on solving and writing two-step equations. There is a quiz from the homework on Monday. Assignment: p. 84 18-34 even, 40-54 even.
308B: Some students are taking their first test of the year. Others are close. There is no assignment for the weekend.
308A: We worked with the exterior angle of a triangle theorem and some students are close to finishing the first three chapters of Geometry.
106: We worked on figuring the exterior angle sums of polygons and attempted to figure out the number of degrees in any sided figure. Assignment: p. 47 #24. There is also a quiz on Monday.
Have a great weekend!
